Tyler Butler-Figueroa in Concert

Tue, Nov 24 - 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Tyler Butler-Figueroa was just 11 years old when he auditioned for America’s Got Talent (AGT) and received the golden buzzer from Simon Cowell. This gave him the opportunity to travel to California to compete on AGT’s Season 14 where he finished in the top 10. Tyler returned for AGT: The Champions 2 in January 2020 and captured 3rd place honors.

He has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and was featured in “AGT Live On Stage” in Las Vegas.

But Tyler is more than just a violin phenom. He’s also a cancer survivor. Tyler was diagnosed with leukemia at 4 years old. While undergoing treatments, he was bullied in school because the other children didn’t want to play with him. They thought they could catch cancer. Tyler decided he didn’t want to be known as the kid with cancer, he wanted to be thought of as the kid that played the violin. He enrolled in an afterschool enrichment class for violin. The rest, as they say, is history. Tyler’s streamed concert at the Renaissance Centre will feature some of his most notable performances, including Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger, the song that began his journey on AGT.

Tyler's performance is free and open to the public. On Monday, Nov. 23, a Youtube link will be made available through our website, Facebook and Instagram. The show can be viewed at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
