He has been playing the guitar since the age of 12 and playing professionally since the age of 15. His fondest musical memory is having received some guitar tips from Chet Atkins after sneaking backstage at a concert when he was 15. His music has also been performed at the Julliard School and the Lincoln Center. David is classically trained but draws from a wide variety of influences in his music. He has studied under two students of Andres Segovia and teaches classical guitar, music theory and songwriting.

Michele Gourley - Dulcimer player, songwriter/singer of Americana, folk, bluegrass, punk rock musical comedy
Michele Gourley plays original tunes, covers and whatever pops into her head expressed through the mountain dulcimer, voice and percussion. Sometimes she tells funny stories, too.

From her first “drum set” Santa gave her when she was 2, to playing the mountain dulcimer, music has always played an important role in Michele’s life. That journey has led her from singing four-part harmony in small Southern churches to learning to play piano, percussion and oboe.

Michele mashes up all of these experiences into unique musical experiences in unexpected places such as marching cymbals in a presidential inauguration parade, singing Cyndi Lauper covers in small fishing villages in Iceland and playing original tunes on Appalachian folk instruments in the emergency department of a mental hospital.

In all instances, she hopes to bring an authentic sound that inspires the mind and uplifts the soul.

May music let us all shine a little more brightly in this world ...
