Ting to host public information meeting Thursday at Renaissance Centre

Ting will host a public information meeting about its plans to bring crazy fast fiber Internet to Wake Forest on Thursday, April 4, at 7 p.m. Open to all Wake Forest residents, the meeting will take place at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St.

During the meeting, Ting representatives will present a brief slide show about Ting and its expansion into Wake Forest. Discussions will also cover the benefits and cost of fiber Internet service, a tentative timeline and what to expect during installation. A question and answer period will follow.

Light refreshments, along with soft drinks, coffee and water, will be available.

In February, Ting announced it would bring fiber Internet to Wake Forest – making it the third Ting Internet town in North Carolina and the seventh in the U.S.

Construction is expected to begin this winter and will run in neighborhood phases. These construction phases will be announced on the dedicated Wake Forest Ting Town page at ting.com/wakeforest. This page will be updated regularly as milestones are reached.

Ting expects to light its first customers in Wake Forest by the end of the year.

Wake Forest residents can pre-order Ting crazy fast fiber Internet at https://ting.com/internet/town/wakeforest. A one-time $9 pre-order is returned as a credit on a customer's first Ting bill. Pre-ordering secures the best possible break on start-up costs on Ting gigabit service, including the full cost of installation.
