Wake Forest Home & Garden Show Aug. 24-25
The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St., will host the fourth annual Wake Forest Home & Garden Show on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 25, from noon-4 p.m.
Presented by Mitchell Heating & Cooling, the Home & Garden Show will feature over 50 local experts showcasing the latest in home improvement products, services and features.
As a bonus, this year’s event will again include a Shopping Marketplace with local art, handmade decor and various home products available for purchase.
“For anyone planning a home improvement or yard enhancement project, our home and garden show will offer a convenient look at what’s available in our area,” said Renaissance Centre Manager Cathy Gouge.
In addition to visiting with local home and garden experts, attendees will have the opportunity to attend free seminars throughout the two-day event and enter several prize drawings. This year’s grand prize is a Traeger Pro 575 Series Grill and accessories package valued at over $1,000, courtesy of B&W Hardware.
Admission to the Home & Garden Show is free, but attendees are encouraged to donate sensory items to the Wake County Chapter of the Autism Society of North Carolina. Examples include noise cancelation headphones, wobble cushions, fidgets of all kinds, playdoh, magnatiles, bean bags, washable finger paints, art paper, markers, model magic dough, small dry erase boards and markers, puzzles, squishy critters, books, silly putty, lacing shapes, rainbow wikki stixs, sticker books and kinetic sand. A collection box will be located in the Renaissance Centre lobby. These items will be used for events and educational programs offered through the Wake Country Chapter of the NC Autism Society.
Free parking is available in the Renaissance Centre and Town Hall parking lots and along several streets in the downtown area.
