Renaissance Centre to host “Chasing the Light” Art Exhibit & Reception December 6

The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre is highlighting the artist's quest to find the light in every work of art while bringing light to the viewer with a new exhibit in the Renaissance Centre Arts Annex entitled “Chasing the Light.”

You do not have light unless you have darkness, so the artist’s quest is to always ensure that light highlights their artwork. That light may be the sun or moon or an artificial light. It may even be light reflecting off an object or a tiny flower petal.

Featured artists in this month’s exhibit include Adria Baker, Lisa Bernhard, Alison Charchar, Erin Day, Todd Kreisman, Olga Lobastova, Jennifer McPhatter, Delphine Peller, Clina Polloni, Tracy Pratt, Robin Sheehy, Margaret Roth, Karen Ruffner, and Kathy Weber.

The Renaissance Centre will honor these artists and their works during a special reception Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 6-8 p.m. in the Renaissance Centre Arts Annex, 407 S. Brooks. St. The reception is free and open to the public.

The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre is proud to support local artists. For more information on the “Chasing the Light” exhibit, contact Centre Specialist Debra Horton at 919-435-9566 or dhorton@wakeforestnc.gov.
