You’re invited to celebrate 20 years of ChurchNet’s service to our community Thursday at the Renaissance Centre

You’re invited to help celebrate two decades of ChurchNet Foundation’s contributions to our community on Thursday, June 12 , from 6-9 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St.

Open to everyone, “ChurchNet Foundation – A Celebration of 20 Years of Service to the Community” will feature brief remarks from Mayor Vivian Jones and ChurchNet President Anne Packett who will highlight important milestones along the foundation’s journey and honor the partners and volunteers who have supported its mission over the years. Guests will enjoy an evening of music and hors d’oeuvres as our community comes together to celebrate ChurchNet’s many achievements.

Since its creation in 2005, the ChurchNet Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, has provided invaluable financial assistance for people struggling to pay utility bills and prescription medicine costs in the Wake Forest, Youngsville, and Rolesville communities.

From the outset of ChurchNet’s existence, the Town of Wake Forest has been proud to partner with the foundation to administer its H.O.P.E. (Helping Others by Providing Electricity) program. Through the initiative, the Town accepts both one-time and regular donations from residential and commercial utility customers and directs the proceeds to ChurchNet. ChurchNet determines who qualifies for assistance and how much assistance they receive. Then, 100 percent of the donated funds are used to pay Wake Forest Power utility bills.
