From March 1 through April 12, the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre and ARTS Wake Forest will present a series of virtual concerts on Mondays at 7 p.m. you can enjoy from the comfort of your home.

Each program in the virtual “Neck of the Woods” performance series will be different and consist of one or more performing acts, including singers, dancers, actors, musicians and spoken word artists. Free and available on the Renaissance Centre Facebook and YouTube pages, the March 22 concert will feature vocal soloist Alison Staples.

Alison Staples is a Junior at Wake Forest High School and is a student at the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory. She has been doing theatre since she was eleven years old and plans to pursue a career in theatre/film. Some of her favorite roles include playing Princess Fiona in “Shrek the Musical” at Lakeland Theatre Company and Wake Forest Middle School. She also played Annie in “Annie” at WFMS and Lady Macbeth.
She will be performing two musical theatre songs, Home from Beauty and the Beast, and I’m not afraid of anything from Songs for a New World.
