Tickets on sale for Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre “Rip Roaring Revenge” Oct. 12

Tickets are on sale for the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre “Rip Roaring Revenge” on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts, 405 S. Brooks St.

If you enjoy the theater intertwined with a good murder mystery, then you'll love “Rip Roaring Revenge” performed by the Triangle-based theater troupe “It’s A Mystery.” It's A Mystery’s interactive comedy mysteries offer fresh, creative and fun entertainment. The group’s original scripts, played out by talented actors, will challenge your brain and tickle your funny bone!

It’s A Mystery’s professional troupe of accomplished actors will bring to life exciting characters with colorful backgrounds and questionable motives. The sophisticated plot that ensues will provide the audience with clues to help you pin down the perpetrator or perpetrators of a dastardly deed.

Look before you leap and check around every corner. Make sure you are not being tailed. Now, come on in to the best party in town. Big Pauly’s Magnolia Club is the best speakeasy in the state, and everyone is dying to get in. Earl Chesterfield and his orchestra will be providing toe-tapping music so you can Charleston throughout the night. Raise a glass with radio hostess, Maisy Monroe. Get your picture taken with movie star Mimi Allmine. Thrill to the stories told by well-known stunt pilot, Cornelia Earnhardt. And get to know our colorful mayor, Leonard “Buddy” Ledbetter.

With this eclectic group of guests, one never knows what will happen. In the event of a shocking crime, it will be up to you and your table of fellow sleuths to discover who could commit such an evil deed.

Guests are encouraged to dress as a flapper or come as you are. Dress as a gangster or a silent screen star!

Designed for patrons ages 18 and older, this crime-solving theatrical production will include the following “Killer Buffet Dinner” provided by Cannon Catering: Autumn Salad with Mixed Greens, Sliced Red Onion, Mandarin Oranges, Dried Cranberries, Toasted Walnuts and Orange Vinaigrette, Marsala Wine Beef Tips with Sautéed Mushrooms, Pork Loin with Cranberry Glaze, Golden Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans with Caramelized Onions, Rolls & Butter, Chocolate Chess or Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream topping. A variety of beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served starting at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $40 (plus tax) in advance and include dinner. This performance is expected to sell out, so anyone interested in attending is encouraged to purchase their tickets early.

Tickets may be purchased online at with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card. Tickets may also be purchased at the Renaissance Centre Box Office with cash, check or credit card. A processing fee will be added to the cost of any ticket purchased with a credit card. Box office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.
