Public Art Commission launches Wake Forest Public Art Virtual Tour

The Wake Forest Public Art Commission is inviting residents and visitors to experience and enjoy the town’s public art through a new online virtual tour. Accessible from the Town website and app, the virtual tour offers a unique perspective of Wake Forest’s incredible array of outdoor art through the use of a laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Structured around an interactive map, the tour features photos of each work of art, along with the name of the artist, the work’s location and a brief description.

To access the tour online, visit wakeforestnc.gov and search “Public Art Commission.”

Android and iPhone users can access the tour by downloading the Town of Wake Forest app and using the app’s "Virtual Tours” function, which also includes virtual tours of the Wake Forest Local Historic District, Downtown Historic District, and Historic Wake Forest Cemetery.

IPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Android users can download the free app by searching for “Town of Wake Forest" on iTunes, in the iPhone app store, or in Google Play or by scanning the appropriate QR code provided at www.wakeforestnc.gov/communications/app-download.
